IFF Names Dominique Ropion Master Perfumer

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF) has named Dominique Ropion master perfumer, making Ropion the second perfumer to be recognized with this title since 2013.

For over 18 years, Ropion has worked in the perfume industry. Initially studying physics at school, he became fascinated with the perfume process during his summer vacations. From there, he managed to secure an internship where he further developed his skills. Then in 2000, he joined IFF. Since then he has created or co-created fragrance for such brands as Christian Dior, Thierry Mugler, Lancôme, Givenchy, Frederic Malle, Issey Miyake, Yves Saint Laurent, Paco Rabanne and the Body Shop. Additionally, he has created many consumer, mass market and specialty fragrances.
