The Institute for Art and Olfaction announces the finalists for the 10th Art and Olfaction Awards. The event aims to promote public interest and awareness of the latest developments in perfume and recognizes outstanding creators in the Independent, Artisan, and Experimental perfume categories.
The Art and Olfaction Awards is known for its Golden Pear statuette, which is presented annually to nine deserving recipients at events held in different cities across the globe. Through this recognition, the organization has helped to foster innovation and creativity in the art of perfumery, while inspiring a new generation of independent perfumers.
Winners in all categories will be announced at the 10th annual Art and Olfaction Awards on June 7, 2024, at Casa do Alentejo in Lisbon.

DISCRETIONARY AWARDS AFTEL AWARD FOR HANDMADE PERFUME
This award will be given to one outstanding small-batch perfume that was 100% perfumer-created, in-house, with no use of outsourced compounding or expansion at any stage of the process.
NEWCOMER AWARD
This award celebrates newcomers to the fragrance industry. It will be awarded to a perfume from a brand that launched its first fine fragrance product to market in 2023.
CONTRIBUTION TO SCENT CULTURE AWARD
This award will be given to one outstanding person who made significant contributions to global public awareness of artisan, independent, and experimental practices with scent in 2023.
SEPTIMUS PIESSE VISIONARY AWARD
This award is given to an outstanding person or group showing proof of exceptional vision with regard to how scent is used, developed, or imagined.
