Johnson & Johnson LLC recently announced the addition of 24 new companies at JLABS, a global network comprised of life science entrepreneurs.

Companies represent a variety of science sectors, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices and consumer health solutions. Among the companies added to JLABS is Adra Bio Inc., a manufacturer of natural fragrances and flavors through synthetic biology.

JLABS is now partnered with 40 companies in a space described as a “40,000-square-foot life sciences incubator” that equips associates to shared lab spaces and offices, along with access to “scientific, industry and capital funding experts, all with no-strings attached”.

"Since opening its doors a year ago, JLABS @ Toronto has successfully attracted a multitude of promising companies from our province's life sciences community, led by academic hospitals, world-class research institutes, top scientists and a strong health start-up network," said Reza Moridi, minister of research, innovation and science.

Within this last year, JLABS @ Toronto has hosted over 50 events with more than 5,300 attendees. These events have had over 90 industry experts from a multitude of areas. Overall, JLABS facilities across the globe have amassed more than 207 companies and are homes to around 150 companies working to advance biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical devices, consumer and digital health programs.
