David Michael & Co. (Philadelphia) has hired Kelly DeFusco as project leader for bakery cereal in the company’s applications lab. DeFusco has 15 years of experience in cereal and bakery products at Ottens, Clement Pappas and Firmenich. Laura Ennis has been hired as a senior beverage innovation technologist. Ennis has over 17 years of experience previously working with IFF. Erica Byerly joins the company as a consumer research specialist, Michele Pittner is hired to David Michael’s purchasing department, and Jean-Marc Sierro joins as an account manager in the Western region.
In addition to the new hires, David Michael has announced four promotions. Marie Cummings has been promoted to manager of food applications and product development. Ken Dorsey has been named senior vice president, director of manufacturing. Erica Reiner has been promoted to vice president of strategic business development, while Shelly Semento has been named vice president of human resources.
