Arylessence perfumer Bruce Edward Corrigan has died. The company has released the following remembrance:
A career perfumer, Bruce was loved by his colleagues for his encyclopedic knowledge, extraordinary vocabulary, and diverse interests that included foreign travel, cooking, exotic foods and spices, knitting, botany and languages. Trained as a chemist, Bruce was a believer in good chemistry and was rigorous in the application of his fragrances to client products. Yet his creative style was highly individualistic and intuitive. He used vivid imagery and the linguistic power of words to shape his fragrances, exploring unknown and undiscovered ideas with passion and curiosity. He is survived by his sister Patty and her two children, Anthony and Anna, and a niece Amanda.
