Under the direction of founder, Frederick Bouchardy, Joya is a one-stop studio-to-gallery shop, producing candles, soaps, small-batch perfumes and ceramics. The studio's retail space showcases a mixture of local artist’s work and Joya’s collaborations with other artists, including scented leather textiles, wallpapered candle holders and metalwork. Featured products include 10 Corso Como, Claude Galien, Calepino, Pendleton Woolen Mills, Fog Linen Work, Steidl, Abrams Books, Morris Kitchen, Malin + Goetz, Apothecanna, Le Baigneur, Inventory, Tunica, Sarah Cihat, Geoffrey Young and Mungo Murphy Seaweed.

The front end of the studio is the retail space, which can be converted into an event space with the sliding panels arranged in the room. The warehouse contains a 3-D printer, a ceramics area and a small-batch perfumery.

Bouchardy explained that the whole premise of Joya is to showcase small-batch-crafted products, as well as host creative workshops in the future.

The flagship studio is expected to open in May 2016.
