Firmenich (Geneva) has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Danisco’s Flavor Division, after approval from the relevant authorities. The acquisition, announced May 3, 2007, at a price of DKK 3.36 billion, places Firmenich amongst the top three flavor companies in the world, expanding its product offering and market coverage, particularly in vanilla, ice cream and beverage bases. In addition, it reinforces its position in citrus, dairy products and natural extracts.
