Frutarom Q2/Half-Year 2006 Results

Frutarom (Haifa, Israel) has reported second quarter 2006 sales of $72.3 million, an increase of 7.9% compared with the same period 2005. Gross profit for the period reached $26.3 million compared with $26.9 million in the same quarter 2005. Operating profit totaled $9.7 million compared with $11.6 million in 2005, while net profit reached $8.6 million compared with 8.4 million in 2005.

Half-Year: Frutarom’s sales for the first half of 2006 totaled $143.3 million, an increase of 8.7% compared with the same half of 2005. Gross profit reached $53.3 million compared with $51.9 million in 2005. Operating profit fell to $20.0 million compared to $20.8 million, while net profit rose to reach $17.4 million compared to $15.2 million. The increase in sales was influenced by the integration of Nesse’s activities and the growth in sales of flavors. The flavors division reported sales of $94.7 million compared to $83.4 million in the same half 2005. The fine ingredients division reported sales of $48.0 compared to $47.1 in the same half 2005.
