FONA International (Geneva, IL) has announced the formation of four strategic business unit groups: sweet (bakery, cereal/grain, dairy, desserts and nutraceutical), confections (chewing gum, chocolate, gummies, hard candy, tablet/panned and taffy), savory (dressings, marinades, meal and meal components, sauces, snacks and soup) and beverage (alcohol, still, carbonated, functional RTD, coffee and tea). Each business unit consists of its own product development and applications teams as well as marketing and sales support teams. The sweet and confections units are led by TJ Widuch, vice president, sweet and confections. The savory and beverage units are led by Andy Dratt, director, savory and beverage.
