Seven Shows Success as Standalone Company

Seven, the specialist fragrance subsidiary of PZ Cussons, broke out as its own business a year ago and now reports strong interest from international markets and a positive first year of operations. The launch of the UK-based company in May 2010 followed major investment in a new compounding facility and internal restructuring to form an independent organization. With a separate identity and experienced team, Seven created a strong platform from which to offer its perfumery and compounding expertise to an international audience. While it continues to supply PZ Cussons, the company is now also seeking to broaden its customer base outside personal care and household to reach a broader spectrum of global industry sectors.

Neil Weaver, managing director at Seven, comments, “Establishing the fragrance business as a company in its own right was a strategic move based on the obvious commercial value that our service can offer a much broader audience. The transition to Seven focused on ensuring we had the capacity and infrastructure to operate independently – investment in our new compounding facilities and selective key appointments to strengthen our external team were all part of this development phase.”
