Rhodia (Paris) announced plans to increase its cyclopentanone production by investing in the production unit at its Melle, France facility. The move is to help ensure the company as a leader in the fragrance marketplace, and the investment will include improving and optimizing the company’s cyclopentanone production equipment at the Melle plant, as well as implementing elements to improve customer service. This targets Rhodia’s desire to win a larger market share and new customers in this business segment. Of the plans, Vincent Lajotte, director of the business segment, commented, “This investment project in our production shops will make our processes more robust and secure, and ensure that we can provide a higher level of service to our customers worldwide.”
