Natural Advantage has introduced natural furfuryl methyl sulfide (FEMA# 3160, CAS# 1438-91-1), which naturally occurs in coffee and cooked beef. Useful in coffee, meat and savory flavors, the taste and odor can be described as coffeelike and fresh roasted, and it is oxidatively stable in liquids and powders, locking in a fresh brewed taste. It is recommended for use at 0.001–0.03 ppm as consumed.
