IOFI announced that Silesia Gerhard Hanke GmbH & Co., a flavor company established in Germany, will be the newest Company Ordinary Member. Silesia will become IOFI’s 11th Company Ordinary Member, joining ADM, Firmenich, Givaudan, T. Hasegawa, IFF, Kerry, V. Mane Fils, Robertet, Symrise and Takasago.

Family-owned and established in Düsseldorf, Germany, in 1910, Silesia develops and produces flavors for the food and beverage industry. The company has two production sites in Germany, as well as one in Chicago, one in Singapore and one in Shanghai.

IOFI executive director Sven Ballschmiede said, “We are pleased to count a new member company in our ranks supporting us to fulfill IOFI’s mission, which is to advance the global trade of safe, responsibly produced flavorings that respect the environment and enrich the lives of consumers.”
