L’Occitane Names Group Managing Director & Managing Director, Global Travel Retail

L’Occitane Group has announced the appointment of Laurent Marteau as group managing director, and Estelle de Bure as managing director, Global Travel Retail.

Effective September 1, 2022, Marteau will report to André Hoffmann, vice-chairman and chief executive officer of the group. Effective July 1, 2022, de Bure will report to Marteau.

Marteau comes with over 20 years of experience in the global beauty industry. He worked for the LVMH Group for 15 years in various senior management roles and countries before joining La Prairie Group in 2014 as vice president for Global Travel Retail & Special Channels and becoming a member of the Board of Directors in the same year. In 2020, he expanded his responsibilities and was made vice president for Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa. He graduated from IEP Lyon and EM Lyon Business School.

De Bure’s promotion recognizes her entrepreneurial leadership since joining the group in 2010, including successfully developing the Melvita brand and the Travel Retail business in Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining L’occitane, de Bure worked at L'Oréal for 12 years where she held various roles in marketing, sales and business development for Maybelline, L’Oréal Paris and Kiehl’s.

She will be responsible for driving growth and profitability for the group’s multi-brand Travel Retail business to fully leverage the growth potential of this channel. In her new scope, Ekaterina Ievleva, EMEA & Americas Travel Retail general manager and Mona L'Hostis, head of Global Travel Retail Marketing, will report to her. De Bure will continue to supervise Travel Retail APAC development directly.
