I say goodbye to 2013 with a mixture of sadness and great optimism for the year to come.
This year I lost my grandfather and mentor, Stanley Earl Allured, who built P&F and its parent company, Allured Business Media, into a thriving business information source.
I will miss him dearly, but am profoundly proud of the business he built, which continues to expand with new undertakings such as Flavorcon and the production of the World Perfumery Congress, taking place June 10-12, 2014, in Deauville, France.
The future is bright for P&F and, indeed, the amazing flavor and fragrance professionals it serves. Endlessly innovative and uniquely creative, this industry is one I'm delighted to serve.
I wish you, your companies and your families the very best in the coming year. I can't wait to see what comes next.
