William "Bill" Joseph Fylak of Jersey City, NJ, born on August 19, 1956, has passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.

Bill was a chemist and co-founder of Chemlumina, LLC. He was an avid fan of the Scarlet Knights and enjoyed traveling with his wife, collecting baseballs and building model trains. 

In 1974, Bill graduated as top of his class from Saint John Vianney High School with a full ride to the University of South Dakota, as a reward for his academic achievements. He earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 1978, minoring in mathematics and physics, and went on to graduate from Farleigh Dickenson University with his MBA in finance in 1984. 

Bill will be remembered as a loving and caring man, having lived his life to the fullest and traveled the world with his wife, Divina.

Bill is survived by his wife, child, two grandchildren and his brother and sister, Brian and Lynn Fylak. He was preceded by his mother and father, Rita and William Fylak, whom he loved and cared for until their last moments.
