The International Fragrance Association of North America (IFRANA) has announced the appointment of Lia K. Dangelico as director of communications and Taiwo Koyejo, Ph.D., as chief regulatory scientist.

Communicating Fragrance

Bringing over 10 years of experience in content development and strategy, Dangelico will lead branding and communications programs for the organization, while emphasizing the importance of fragrance in everyday life. Recently, she has overseen marketing and communications for a leading pet care company and will also have her first internationally published book released later this year.

“I’m excited about the experience and creativity Lia brings to this important role,” said Farah Ahmed, IFRANA president and CEO.  “She is passionate about our truth—that fragrance has the power, beyond all frontiers and cultures, to enhance lives.”

A Scientific Footing

Koyejo joins IFRANA with over a decade worth of experience in the science and regulatory space. She has worked as a regulatory affairs manager at Monsanto and as a director of regulatory affairs in plant biotechnology at CropLife International. In her role with IFRANA, she will ensure that the organization's positions are grounded in scientific fact.

“The fragrance industry’s commitment to sound science and safety has resulted in fragrances being one of the most highly tested ingredients in the consumer product marketplace. I am confident that, under Taiwo’s direction, IFRANA will continue to ensure sound science is reflected in our advocacy with energy, enthusiasm, and integrity,” said Ahmed.
