The Hershey Company has appointed Mary Beth West as their senior vice president and chief growth officer. In this new role, she will be overseeing the company growth’s strategy and will help make decisions about acquisitions and mergers.
West joins the company with over 30 years of executive and marketing leadership. Previously, she has worked for brands like J.C Penney Company, Inc. and Hasbro Inc. In addition, she has worked for food and beverage companies such as Mondelez International, Inc. and Kraft Foods.
Commenting on the appointment, chief executive office Michele Buck said, “She is an accomplished business leader who is considered one of the best food executives and marketers in the industry. Her deep experience in growing some of the world's best-known consumer brands and demonstrated ability to transform consumer engagement will be a tremendous asset to Hershey as we chart our growth agenda."
Mary Beth West will join the company officially on May 1, 2017.
