Firmenich Appoints Bérangère Magarinos-Ruchat as Global Head of Sustainability

Firmenich has announced the appointment of Bérangère Magarinos-Ruchat, M.D. to the global head of sustainability, where she will help reinforce the company’s commitment to sustainability.

Magarinos-Ruchat has over twenty years of experience working with sustainability and social change initiatives. In 2010, she worked as the VP of Sustainability Partnership, where she worked on establishing numerous strategic collaborations with Firmenich to address key societal challenges. Some of the organizations that she worked with include The Toilet Board Coalition, Livelihoods Funds, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The World Business Council for  Sustainable Development (WBCSD), Forum for the Future,  UN Global Compact and others.

Prior to working with Firmenich, she joined the United Nations System Staff College in 1998, where she led the Partners in Action Program. Then in 2004, she joined the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition as the director of partnerships. She has been recognized for her contribution by the WBCSD’s Leading Women Awards and was named Head of Sustainability of the Year by Ethical Corporation in 2015.
