FONA International has hired an account associate and promoted seven employees.
It named Gautam Gaonkar as account associate. Gaonkar joins the sales team with experience in consumer product development and researching flavor encapsulation technologies.
FONA also promoted seven employees. Cassie Beers has been named senior applications technologist - grain. Benjamin Bun, associate scientist - technology & innovation, will lead the further development of LumiCore 2.0 and be responsible for researching and developing new distillation products. Lisa Cummins has been named regulatory affairs manager. Cummins will continue to support Flavor University and project team meetings while growing her team to assume increasing responsibilities in their interactions with their business units.
In other appointments, John Fishel was named senior applications technologist - beverage and Rigo Magana, was named applications technologist - beverage. Jennifer Hoffmann was named senior regulatory affairs manager; Beth Julian, junior scientist - confections, will support the flavor technology needs of customers, while also working with flavor partners in India and China.
