FDA Appoints Theodore Labuza to Food Advisory Committee

The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) has announced that one of its past presidents, Theodore Labuza, has been appointed as a member of The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Food Advisory Committee.

His term is effective immediately and ends June 30, 2019. (Read more about Labuza in P&F's upcoming October issue). 

Labuza is the Morse alumni distinguished teaching professor of food science and engineering in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota. He has authored over 285 scientific refereed research articles, 18 textbooks, 78 book chapters, eight patents, and more than 110 other semi-technical articles.
