DSM has appointed Yanhong Fu as Greater China regional head for Personal Care and Aroma Ingredients—which focuses on personal care, home care and fine fragrance markets—effective Jan. 1, 2018.

She will be responsible for strategic development and carrying out the department’s activities in Greater China. With Fu’s leadership, the company plans to have a sturdy market presence and strengthen partnerships with Chinese customers.

Fu holds a master’s degree in chemistry. Her professional experience in personal care extends into food, pharma and the medical field. She began her career at Shanghai Jahwa, where Fu grew her knowledge of the Chinese market. She also held various positions at ISP, Rhom & Haas and Dow Chemical.

“This is an exciting time to be joining DSM,” she said. “Thanks to powerful marketing and sales campaigns and ongoing international expansion, the business unit has achieved high double digit growth for another year and business is particularly strong in China—one of the fastest growing markets for personal care and aroma ingredients. DSM personal care's new Technical and Application facility in Shanghai will be working on product applications, providing technology services and creating tailor-made solutions for customers in China and Asia Pacific. I look forward to working with the team to continue to drive growth and deliver on customer expectations in this rapidly expanding and trend-setting market.”
