Amyris Inc. has named Karen Rohde as chief human resources officer.
Previously, Rohde was senior vice president human resources for Hitachi Global Storage Technologies Inc. (HGST), where she helped drive the company's turnaround by building a customer-focused, high-performance culture focusing on global alignment, agility and collaboration across its 45,000 employee organization.
Prior to HGST, Rohde was senior vice president human resources and chief talent officer for Sun Microsystems Inc. During her 13-year tenure at Sun, Rohde designed and implemented competitive, integrated talent systems and supported multiple acquisitions.
