We are deeply saddened to report that Mans Boelens has died. He was 79. Boelens was a well-respected industry expert and frequent contributor to Perfumer & Flavorist magazine over the years. John Leffingwell, who we thank for alerting us to this news, describes Boelens as, "a pioneer in many areas -- GC-MS, synthesis, structure-odor relationships, chirality & odoor as well as a foremost expert in essential oils."
