The Research Institute for Fragrance Materials Inc. (RIFM) has appointed Rob Foxenberg as postdoctoral scientist. Of the appointment, RIFM president Ladd Smith said, “This is a training position for the fragrance industry, recently requested by the board of directors. Foxenberg will have a chance to help us shape RIFM’s program. I anticipate that he will spend time on projects in all of RIFM’s functional groups and will have several sabbaticals to member companies as well.”

RIFM has promoted Aurelia Lapczynski to environmental specialist. Lapczynski started at RIFM in 2003 as a technical writer in the Human Health Sciences Program. In her new position, Lapczynski is responsible for managing the environmental test program, providing support on the development of chemical categories for environmental endpoints, and providing data reviews for environmental risk and hazard assessments.

Leah Jones has been hired as a technical writer for the Human Health Sciences Program. Jones is responsible for working on the Group Summaries and Fragrance Material Reviews (FMRs).
