Axxence Aromatic (Emmerich, Germany) has appointed Peter van der Schaft to technical director. van der Schaft has more than 20 years of experience in the flavor industry, previously with Givaudan, IFF and Quest. In his new role, van der Schaft is responsible for the development and manufacturing of natural flavor chemicals. In addition, he will lead the R&D team in the newly established company LiAxx Biotech in Bratislava, Slovakia. LiAxx is a joint venture between the two companies Liko Bratislava and Axxence Aromatic.
In related news, LiAxx Biotech will begin the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Trnava, Slovakia later this year.
