Teri Healy Obituary

Teri I. Healy of Amelia Island, FL, died November 2, after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Healy was born in Gyor, Hungary to Irene and Gyorgy Haraszti. During the Hungarian Revolution, Healy escaped to Austria where she continued her high school education, graduating from the Konigin Juliana Gymnasium, Vienna, Austria. She went on to the university in Vienna specializing in chemistry. Upon immigrating to the United States and becoming a citizen, she got a job at International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. It was there that she met her husband of 28 years, Edward L. Healy. Healy retired from International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. but kept active in the fragrance industry by assisting with her husband’s business, Edward L. Healy LLC. Funeral arrangements have been made by Quinn-Shalz 3600 Third Street, Jacksonville Beach, FL.

A funeral mass has been scheduled for 11:00 AM on November 7 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Ponta Vedra, FL. Monsignor Daniel B. Logan will be officiating, with readings by Peter Thorburn, board member RC Treatt PLC, and Charles Brandvold, president BrandChemco. The eulogy will be by George Joseph. A reception will immediately follow the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
