Symrise Reorganizes Scent & Care Division

Symrise’s Scent & Care Division has announced some reorganization in order to gear it towards innovation management. Michael Kocher has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president Innovation Scent & Care. The objective of the new position is to integrate the previously independently handled functions of research, marketing and consumer/market research and to consequently orientate them towards innovation. Kocher previously worked for Firmenich. Reporting to Kocher in the future will be fragrance and cosmetics research (fragrances, cosmetic ingredients and encapsulation), global marketing (beauty care, home care) and the consumer and market intelligence group.

Massimo Cealti joins the company as vice president Consumer & Market Intelligence, effective May 1. With more than 20 years of experience in market research, consumer insight and sensory, Cealti previously worked with McDonald’s, Nestlé and Coca Cola.

Béatrice Favre-Bulle, previously head of evaluation Personal Care EAME, has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president Fragrance Development. In his new role, Favre-Bulle is responsible for ensuring optimal use of the company’s creative potential and skills, establishing global standards for fragrance development and promoting a “fragrance culture” throughout the organization.

Roberto Ascoli, previously head of sales in France and director of the beauty care creative center in Paris, has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president New Business Development. Marie-Lise Jonak has taken over responsibility for the creative center in Paris from Ascoli.
