FONA’s New Hires and Promotions

FONA International (Geneva, IL) has hired Melissa Battles as senior applications technologist, grain business unit. In her new role Battles, who has more than six years of experience in the baking arena, will assist the research and development team by developing flavors and products for customers.

William Churchwell has joined FONA’s Operations Department as environmental, health and safety compliance officer. With more than 15 years experience, Churchwell will ensure that FONA programs, policies and practices continue to surpass industry standards.

FONA has hired Theresa Guess as quality assurance supervisor. Guess has 15 years of experience in quality assurance in the flavor arena.

Angel Ray has joined the company as plant manager. In his new role, Ray will lead the customer service, purchasing, material control, warehousing, shipping and receiving, production and sample service departments. Ray has eight years of experience as plant director in food manufacturing and seven years as operations director in electronics manufacturing.

FONA has promoted James Evanoff to chief financial officer. Evanoff has more than 14 years of experience in accounting and finance and has held titles such as financial controller, customer finance director and manager of financial planning and analysis.

Andrea Weinecke has been promoted to analytical supervisor. In her new role Weinecke will manage and operate FONA’s analytical services laboratory, supporting the analytical needs of all business units, the technology and innovation group and quality control.
