Emerald Names New VP of Procurement

Emerald Performance Materials has named Robert L. Culp Jr. its new vice president of procurement, and Chris O’Neil as its vice president of information technology (IT). In his role, Culp will take responsibility for Emerald’s global purchasing and logistic operations across its four business groups, and O’Neil will become responsible for all the company’s business groups’ IT services.

“Robert’s knowledge of the chemical industry, experience in global logistics, as well as his familiarity with this company, put him in the ideal position to make Emerald a highly strategic purchaser, which allows us to be a cost-competitive and dependable supplier for our customers,” said Candy Wagner, president and CFO of Emerald. “We are pleased to be able to welcome Robert into the Emerald organization and look forward to his contributions toward the success of the company.”

Also of O’Neil’s appointment, Wagner said, “Chris has more than 25 years of experience and has had responsibility for the full breadth of IT services. As such, he brings a wealth of knowledge that will allow all of our businesses to benefit from the use of the latest thinking in information technology and keep us at the forefront of information processing and dissemination.”
