Shanghai Bairun Flavor & Fragrance Co Ltd. plans to acquire a liquor firm in Shanghai for 5.56 billion yuan ($907.09 million) according to a recent Reuters news report.

Bairun applies sensory evaluation technology in the process of flavoring, quality control and application.

UPDATE: According to a new report, "The lucrative cocktail market has also attracted several investors. Shanghai Bairun Flavor & Fragrance Co Ltd has acquired Shanghai Bakesi Wine Ltd, producer of cocktail brand Rio."
