Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc. and Momentive Performance Materials Inc. have published their joint sustainability report entitled, “Sustainability: 2013," which includes the lowest level, since being tracked, of environmental incidents.
For example, the number of environmental incidents decreased by 29% in 2013 compared to 2012 and fell by 79% from 2007 to 2013, which is the lowest level since being tracked. In addition, greenhouse gas (GHG) intensity, which is defined as the amount of carbon dioxide equivalent GHG emitted to produce a specific product, has improved in three out of the last four years and overall GHG emissions have been reduced by 3.7% since 2010.
