IFF Names Christina Gold to Board

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc.'s shareholders have elected Christina Gold, former chief executive officer of The Western Union Company, to its board of directors at its annual shareholders meeting. In addition, the company's board has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 34 cents a share, payable July 11 to shareholders of record as of June 27, 2013.

Gold's election brings the total number of directors on IFF's board to 12, including all incumbent directors who were re-elected at  the annual meeting.

Gold served as CEO, president and a director of The Western Union Company and served as president of Western Union Financial Services Inc. and senior executive vice president of First Data Corp., former parent company of The Western Union Company, from 2002 to 2006. Prior to joining First Data Corp., Gold held executive positions with Excel Communications, a former telecommunications and e-commerce services provider, and Beaconsfield Group Inc., a direct selling advisory firm that she founded.

Prior to founding The Beaconsfield Group from 1970 to 1998, Gold held a number of key positions with Avon Products Inc. including executive vice president of global direct selling development, senior vice president and president of Avon North America, and senior vice president and CEO of Avon, Canada.  

Gold is currently a director of ITT Corporation, New York Life Insurance and Exelis Inc. She also sits on the board of Safe Water Network, a non-profit organization.
