IFF has announced that David Ellison, currently regional general manager (RGM), Greater Asia, Scent, will assume the role of president, Consumer Fragrances, filling the role that will be vacated by Christophe de Villeplee when he assumes that of president, Scent.
The move follows the announcement that Nicolas Mirzayantz, current president, Scent, was appointed president of IFF’s Nourish division, effective September 1, 2021.

Ellison joined IFF in 1990 and has held positions in North America, Europe and the Middle East before his current role in Greater Asia. Throughout his career, he has worked across both global and regional accounts, developed and executed successful category strategies and built a deep knowledge of IFF innovation capabilities. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Greenwich, London. He will be based in the U.K.
With Ellison’s move to his new role, Ramon Brentan will take over the role of RGM, Greater Asia, Scent. Since joining IFF in 1998, he has held several roles, including both commercial and in the creative and innovation areas. Currently based in Hilversum, Netherlands as director of the IFF Global Fabric Care category, he has worked in Latin America, North America, Europe and Greater Asia. Brentan holds a bachelor’s degree in business, international trade and is a graduate of IFF’s INSEAD program.
