SFM Investments (Milwaukee), which in April 2014 bought certain assets of the former Fontarome Chemical (St. Louis), has announced its fine chemical manufacturing company is now called Apiscent Labs to reflect its specialization in flavor and fragrance molecules, active pharmaceutical ingredients and research and development.
Apiscent Labs is expanding its R&D capacity, adding new technology, enhancing sourcing to boost its supplies of products in stock and increasing its staff by more than 50%. It has hired flavor chemist Michel Combe, who brings more than 40 years of expertise to the company. Apiscent Labs is also developing a new website scheduled to launch in early fall.
