Balchem Corp. (New Hampton, NY) has announced first-quarter sales of $86 million, an increase of about 1.6% above the same period last year.
Net earnings reflected $1.3 million, pre-tax, of transaction costs related to the execution of the Performance Chemicals & Ingredients Company (d/b/a SensoryEffects) and the joint venture agreement to build and operate a choline chloride facility with Taminco Corporation.
