As part of its effort to support growth in the market, Bell Flavors & Fragrances (Northbrook, Illinois) has announced the opening of a new production facility in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The site launches in July.
Of the announcement, John Lowry, general manager international, said, “Bell has been working in the Brazilian market for over five years, but over the last two years we have seen great opportunities for continued growth for the Brazilian market.”
Bell’s general manager of Brazil, Paulo Barros, added, “In anticipation with this healthy growth, Bell has developed a long-term strategy to invest capital resources into the Brazilian market to keep up with this dynamic market: 190 million inhabitants; eighth largest economy in the world; expected GNP growth in 2010 = 6%.”
