Treatt PLC has reported revenue of £28 million for the six months ending March 31, 2010. Noting some restocking among customers and strengthening citrus oil and aroma chemical prices, the company says that the first quarter underperformed, while the second quarter "showed marked improvement."
Other highlights:
- Aroma chemical sales grew 14% compared to the same period last year
- Sales to China and Hong Kong remain strong
- Treatt USA improved towards the latter part of the period
- The performance of Earthoil was been mixed over the period and has performed below expectations
According to the company, Treatt has started the third quarter solidly and is cautiously optimistic about exceeding original full-year estimates.
