Takasago International Corp. (Tokyo) has announced the purchase of Wessel Fragrances Inc. (Englewood Cliffs, NJ). Wessel, a family owned manufacturer of fragrances established in 1988, brings an increased level of expertise to Takasago’s foundation in creativity and technology. The transaction is expected to be completed in November.
Of the acquisition, Takasago USA president Sean Traynor said, “The Wessel focus of targeted clients in the home care and beauty care sectors is wholly aligned with Takasago strategies. In addition, our synergies in creativity and technology will allow us to provide an even greater portfolio of services. Takasago’s philosophy of providing improved products through technology is further complemented by the Wessel acquisition and will result in strengthening our abilities to serve our global clients.”
