Givaudan Shanghai Facility Coming Soon

Givaudan (Geneva) has announced that its new facility in Shanghai should be open and operational by August. Claimed to be the world’s largest flavors plant, the new facility’s creation, technology and production center is on track to be fully operational from August, and technical and commercial staff will start moving in at the end of May. The new site outside of Shanghai has twice the surface area of the current one – about 50,000 square meters – and will employ around 120 people. The original plant in Shanghai’s Zhang Jiang Hi-Tech zone, which first opened in 1997, will now be entirely dedicated to fragrances, with the new production center becoming the flavors headquarters.
