International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF) announced plans for the the further expansion of its CapLock advanced flavor encapsulation system production line at its Haverhill, UK European Center of Excellence for Flavor Delivery Systems and Encapsulation. Increasing the capacity of this system will help the company build on its prior strategic investments in this technology, which totals approximately $10 million.
“The additional capacity in the Haverhill facility will provide support to not only the region, but the entire market,” says Matthias Haeni, regional general manager, flavors EAME. “We have exceptional technical knowledge of this advanced delivery system in Haverhill and further building on this existing expertise was a logical progression. The additional production capabilities at the Haverhill site give our customers greater access to a range of flavor delivery solutions. The CapLock system, coupled with our creative team's talent for developing the perfect flavor profile for our customers, is a powerful tool that helps our customers deliver excellent and fresh-tasting flavor to the consumer. The system continues to be of strategic importance in our innovation pipeline and we will therefore continue to invest in it heavily.”
