Givaudan Nine Month 2007 Results

Givaudan (Vernier, Switzerland) has reported first nine months 2007 sales of CHF 3.11 billion, an increase of 40.6% in local currencies and 41.4% in Swiss francs. This reflects the inclusion of Quest sales as of March 2007.

Fragrance division sales grew 6.0% in local currencies to CHF 1.56 billion. Fine fragrance, consumer products and fragrance ingredients all saw positive growth.

Flavor division sales grew by 1.9% in local currencies to CHF 1.78 billion. The discontinuation of commodities ingredients amounted to CHF 40.1 million impacting primarily North America. Sales in Asia Pacific achieved a solid performance supported by double-digit growth in the developing markets of China, India, Thailand and the Philippines. Europe and Latin America sales delivered high single-digit growth, while sales in North America remained flat against last year.
