Bedoukian Research is looking to hire a perfume consultant based in Danbury, Connecticut.

This job function involves providing creative and technical perfumery expertise in order to deliver BRI fragrance ingredients that meet customer needs, which include creating demonstrations in different applications, olfactive characteristics, performance and stability data.

Other assets include understanding the existing ingredient portfolio, selecting and demonstrating ingredients that fit into current trends, advising globally the promotion of BRI ingredients to direct and distributor serviced clients and working with marketing to create cohesive ingredients promotional kits.

This position covers a range of activities including:

  • Provide fragrance ingredients technical expertise and evaluations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the R&D Director, the senior perfumer will:

  • Develop formulas such as twists, types, simulations, variations, creations and duplications in cooperation with evaluation team.
  • Be able to create fragrance formulations for all fragrance categories. Particular expertise is needed for I&I, detergence and difficult bases.
  • Develop raw material replacements as needed.
  • Revise fragrance formulas for improved performance in specific applications.
