OSHA Issues Final Rule on PPE Revision

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has issued a final rule to revise the personal protective equipment (PPE) sections of its general industry, shipyard employment, longshoring, and marine terminals standards regarding requirements for eye- and face-protective devices, head protection, and foot protection.

This final rule will become effective Oct. 9, 2009; it will be discussed further at the FEMA/FMA’s joint occupational safety health and environment committee meeting on Oct. 27, 2009 at the FEMA Fall Symposium in Bridgewater, New Jersey.
