Bell Researches Wipes Market for Latest Fragrances

Bell Flavors & Fragrances Inc. has created 12 new fragrances for the specialized wipes industry based on recent research. A 2008 consumer survey conducted by the Soap and Detergent Association in the wipes market confirmed cleaning effectiveness, portability and value (in this order) as the decisive factors for choosing a particular brand of wipe. Taking a cue from this survey, the marketing and R&D staff at Bell conducted a study of representative wipes on the market, evaluating each product to determine its fragrance family, fragrance descriptors, level of fragrance intensity and overall perception. The products were then categorized into three sections: baby, personal care and household wipes. At the end of the study, trends in fragrances in each section were observed: a delicate fruity blend of notes for baby wipes, a luscious tropical aroma for personal care wipes and a fresh woody scent for household wipes. Bell’s own fragrance interpretations of these insights feature scents like Amazing Melon, Caribbean Green and Burst of Freshness.
