Savory

Treatt offers 2,4,6-Trimethyldihydro-4H-1,3,5-dithiazine for savory flavors. Naturally occurring in squid, fried chicken, clam and peanut butter, this chemical can be used at different dosage levels depending on the application—a dosage of 3–6 ppm delivers a rich, meat flavor in snacks or sauces, 4–8 ppm gives an intense aroma to soups and seasonings, while flavors for oils and fats require a dosage of 0.35–3.5 ppm. This chemical is approved for use in China, Japan, Korea, Russia and Europe.
