Natural Advantage introduces Natural 8-Thiomenthone (FEMA# 3177, CAS 38462-22-5). This material occurs naturally in Buchu leaf oil. Useful in many fruit flavors, 8-thiomenthone has a tenacious and powerful odor that can be described as catty and black currant. The fruity, berry and tropical characteristics of this product with a raspberry, minty nuance make it great for flavors such as peach, berry and grape. Recommended use levels range from 0.001–0.1 ppm as consumed; additional properties include: EU and U.S. natural, kosher and non-GMO.
