Israeli startup Wine Water Ltd. is launching O.Vine, a spring water infused with wine, at New York City’s Fancy Food Show.

O.Vine is alcohol-free, and combines the healthful extracts of wine grape skins and seeds with pure spring water. It contains no added colors or preservatives, with its color and ingredients derived from wine grape waste.

The line features two still beverages and two carbonated drinks, available in red (including cabernet, merlot, syrah and petit verdot) and white (Riesling, gewürztraminer) varieties. It was developed in collaboration with Israeli consultancy Practical Innovation.

Said Anat Levi, Wine Water founder and CEO: “Developing O.Vine was extremely challenging. Based on our winemaking expertise, we designed proprietary technology and specialized techniques. These methods prevent oxidation – the main obstacle to keeping the beverage fresh and shelf stable – without alcohol and without preservatives.”

“Drinking wine is a pure pleasure, but not all consumers are able to indulge due to its alcohol content. For example, it is recommended that pregnant women avoid alcohol entirely,” adds Levi. “O.Vine imparts the wine sensation and awakens the memory of drinking wine. The beverage delivers the health benefits of antioxidants – without the alcohol. Moreover, by upcycling the excess wine ingredients, the product is environmentally friendly.”

Wine Water will present at booth #3072 at the Fancy Food Show, which will be held in New York City June 30 to July 2.
