It will look at actions that need to be taken to support the long-term future of frankincense trees and the communities that harvest them.

The workshop will be structured around four themes:

  1. Botany, identification and current status of the trees

  2. Communities, regeneration and forest management

  3. Biochemistry and medicinal applications

  4. Supply chains, products, regulations and trade

The outcomes, plenary recordings and report of the workshop will be posted online and will be presented at the next International Conference on Frankincense and Medical Plants in Oman November, 2021.

Registration is free and open. To register for the waiting list visit Global Frankincense Alliance.
