Jonpaul Howarth has been appointed vice president of Ultra International B.V. Netherlands.
Howarth, who has worked in the industry since 1998, initially worked as a raw material buyer representing ingredient portfolios across Europe for Givaudan, Firmenich and IFF, and established a trading business for a U.K.-based company S.D. Black before migrating to Australia.
Within Australia, Howarth worked as a commercial director for ABP, controlling all aspects of essential oil purchasing and domestic and international sales. During this five-year period much work was done on establishing innovative essential oils from Australia and SE Asia, working in partnership with many new and established producers to optimize productivity and bring sustainable supply to the market.
Howarth was also a member of the IFEAT executive committee for three years from 2010 until 2013. Having chaired the publication committee, he was also an integral member of IFEAT’s Singapore 2012 Conference committee.
